On Lidskii’s algorithm to quantify the first order terms in the asymptotics of a defective eigenvalue. Part I

چکیده
Lidskii’s perturbation theory ( → 0) is presented in algorithmic form. This clarifies the role of a singular step. When such a step is first encountered, the quantification becomes incomplete beyond the singularity in a way that is described. An application is made to Homotopic Deviation. In this particular case, the missing information can be provided by direct computation.

On Lidskii’s algorithm to quantify the first order terms in the asymptotics of a defective eigenvalue. Part II
This report is a follow-up for [3]. Part II addresses a question left open in Part I: it consists in the analysis of the computation which can be realised at step j +1 of Lidskii’s algorithm when step j is non generic. This question is examined in the context of an appropriate modification of the existing Homotopic Deviation theory [1, 2]. Connections are made with the theory of square matrix p...
متن کاملOptimal intelligent control for glucose regulation
This paper introduces a novel control methodology based on fuzzy controller for a glucose-insulin regulatory system of type I diabetes patient. First, in order to incorporate knowledge about patient treatment, a fuzzy logic controller is employed for regulating the gains of the basis Proportional-Integral (PI) as a self-tuning controller. Then, to overcome the key drawback of fuzzy logic contro...
متن کاملAsymptotic Distributions of Estimators of Eigenvalues and Eigenfunctions in Functional Data
Functional data analysis is a relatively new and rapidly growing area of statistics. This is partly due to technological advancements which have made it possible to generate new types of data that are in the form of curves. Because the data are functions, they lie in function spaces, which are of infinite dimension. To analyse functional data, one way, which is widely used, is to employ princip...
متن کاملAnalysis of Natural Frequencies for a Laminated Composite Plate with Piezoelectric Patches using the First and Second Eigenvalue Derivatives
In this paper, the first and second order approximations of Taylor expansion are used for calculating the change of each natural frequency by modifying an arbitrary parameter of a system with a known amount and based on this approximation, the inverse eigenvalue problem is transformed to a solvable algebraic equation. The finite element formulation, based on the classical laminated plate theory...
متن کاملAn efficient Imperialistic Competitive Algorithm for the closed-loop supply chains considering pricing for product, and fleet of heterogeneous vehicles
This paper investigates a pricing multi-period, closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) with two echelons of producers and customers. Products are delivered to customers might be defective which are picked up and gathered in the collection center and will be fixed if it is possible and will be returned to the chain. Otherwise, they are sold as waste. This problem is determining price and distributio...
